We believe that we borrow the earth from our children – we do not inherit it from our ancestors – and our practices reflect that.

All produce is grown at Temalpakh Farm without the use of harsh chemicals or pesticides. We treat our products only with materials that have been approved and certified by the Organic Material Review Institute, and we do not include additives in post-production handling. We do not use GMO seeds or other products on our farm.

Everything that Temalpakh Farm grows is certified USDA organic by California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF). The farm has to meet rigorous standards for growing and handling produce in order to get these certifications, so you can feel confident knowing that any produce we sell is wholesome and nutritious. We also offer the Seven Feathers Guarantee that everything we sell – even the products that we don’t grow ourselves – is fresh and natural.

All products included in the box come directly from the farm. Therefore, the box is limited to seasonal availability, and it is offered only during the peak growing season from November to May. That way, you get a substantial box and are assured of the freshest and highest quality produce.

Temalpakh also offers a market for you to shop directly throughout the year. The market opens at 9 a.m. Monday through Saturday, and it stays open until 2 p.m. each day except Friday, when it remains open until 4pm. Shop from the season’s best produce, or get a refreshing smoothie at the smoothie bar.

In addition to Temalpakh’s own produce, the market also sells supplemental produce from area farms and vendors. Any supplemental produce sold in the market is also certified USDA organic, and it must meet the same, high standards for natural production as our produce does. All products are also locally grown and sustainably sourced.

In an effort to make nutritious food accessible to as many people as possible, Temalpakh Farm provides produce not only direct to the consumer, but also direct to retail establishments and restaurants. We offer wholesale pricing that will fit most business models.

Temalpakh Farm got its name from the Cahuilla word “temalpakh,” which means, “from the earth.” Our name reflects our values and our culture, and we strive to build a legacy for both in our practices and in the community that we build.

Since we started the farm in 2012, all our goods have been made and produced by the Augustine Band of the Cahuilla Indians. From our field practices to our general operations, we have taken care to ensure that we are doing right by the earth so that it can continue to be a place where we can all grow, play, and thrive.
